
Dr. Skelton has been in chiropractic practice since 1986. Dr. Skelton’s education consists of a Bachelors in Chemistry from Michigan State University, a Masters in Occupational Health from Wayne State University School of Medicine, and his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University, where he graduated as Valedictorian.
He has more than 4,400 hours of specialized study in the areas of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, radiology and orthopedics. Dr. Skelton’s areas of expertise are personal injury care from neuro-musculo-skeletal injuries. He has specialized training in spinal decompression therapy, physical rehabilitation, physical therapeutics and work ergonomics.
Dr. Skelton is also a consultant to area businesses in the prevention of on-the-job injuries and cost-effective healthcare practices.
Dr. Skelton specializes in the treatment of joints, especially of the spine, that have become misaligned causing mechanical malfunction and nerve interference. This results in wellness or absence of dysfunction while promoting a safe, non-surgical method of healing.
Dr. Skelton volunteers his time to lecturing at corporations and organizations throughout the area as part of overall health education and public awareness campaign to promote good health.
Prior to becoming a chiropractic physician, Dr. Skelton was an Industrial Health and Safety Specialist for Conoco/Phillips. He was responsible for employee monitoring for exposure to physical and chemical elements; design and implementation of control methods; and training of employees in health and safety.
